About Finn

Finn Schubert (he/him) is the author of two essay collections: Even the Cemeteries Have Space Here, and There Are No Rules for a Pregnant Trans Body. He is a Moth StorySlam-winning storyteller, and his writing has appeared in TheBody, Lit Star Review, and the anthologies Transcending: Trans Buddhist Voices and Places Like Home.


Finn’s background is in public health (his academic publications can be found here), and he currently works as the LGBTQ+ Program Director at a large community hospital in New Jersey.

He is a sought-after speaker regarding LGBTQ+ health, trans and nonbinary inclusion in workplaces and spiritual communities, and public health program design and evaluation. He currently serves on the board of Wisdom Projects, Inc., and previously served on the board of Sadie Nash Leadership Project and the HIV Planning Council of NYC.
