I'm working on consolidating all of my work on this new Ghost site, and I'm thinking about what it would mean to feel complete. The blog or newsletter form often has a sense of incompletion – there's always a "next one" that you can't quite get ahead of. While I learned a lot from Robin Sloan's post about a newsletter having seasons, the form of online writing often precludes the idea that we can feel done. That elated feeling I had when I held my second book and it was done and perfect, except I wished I'd made the margin a tad larger – but too late!
How can I replicate this feeling of "not quite perfect, but still thrillingly good enough" in an online space where the edit button is just a click away?
