Be ruthless in discerning what works for you

Now is a time to get deeper in our understanding of what is easeful for us.

Be ruthless in discerning what works for you.

Separate that which is uncomfortable because it is on your growth edge from that which is not yours to do.

Perhaps the ultimate "productivity hack" is that many of those tools can be repurposed not to produce more but to create more ease.

Be ruthless in discerning what works for you.

I used to think ease was a quiet morning, a steaming mug of tea, a candle burning, a clean desk, a fancy notebook.

Then I had kids.

Lately, ease has been tending to the world inside my computer, which is where I spend most of my working time.

I notice when I don't like something, then I change it, then I notice and enjoy the fact that I like it.

I've changed wallpapers, color schemes, shortcuts, icons, email apps, passwords, and more.

Not all ease is instagrammable.

(But if you want "one weird trick"? Change your font. Find something you love on Google Fonts, or even better, buy one from an independent font foundry. Install it. Use it. Love it.)

Get to know what ease is for you, and as always, take your pleasure seriously.
